I am a passionate marine researcher pursuing my Masters and eventually PhD in Integrative Marine Science and Technology. My work focuses on shark sensory systems, migration, and evolutionary patterns, combining biological insight with physical and engineering approaches to understand how sharks interact with their environment.
I am currently working on a fossil record project examining prehistoric shark teeth with the Atlantic Shark Institute, contributing to a deeper understanding of shark evolutionary history. In my sensory research, I integrate physics, engineering, and biology to investigate how sharks perceive and navigate their surroundings across ecological and evolutionary timescales.
I am deeply passionate about outreach in marine science and making ocean research accessible to everyone. As the founder of Project Fin, I work to educate and inspire others about the ocean, marine research, and our responsibility to protect life below the surface. Alongside this mission, I am a science illustrator and the author of Friends with the Ocean, using storytelling and art to connect people with marine life. I am currently working on my next book, A Witness to Life, which continues my commitment to amplifying the beauty, science, and urgency of conservation.
